Our faith is built on timeless truths that guide our community, shape our worship, and inspire our mission to love God and serve others.
Our Core Beliefs
The foundational truths that unite and guide us
The Authority of Scripture
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and our ultimate authority for faith and practice. Every word has been breathed by God and is profitable for teaching, correction, and training in righteousness.
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness." - 2 Timothy 3:16
The Trinity
We believe in one God who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God, yet there is only one God. This mystery of the Trinity is central to our understanding of God's nature.
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." - Matthew 28:19
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead, and ascended to heaven. He is the only way to salvation and eternal life.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16
Salvation by Grace
We believe salvation is a gift from God, received by faith alone through grace alone. It cannot be earned through good works but is freely given to all who believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." - Ephesians 2:8
The Church
We believe the church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers worldwide. The local church exists to worship God, build up believers, and reach the lost with the gospel through love, service, and proclamation.
"And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead." - Colossians 1:18
The Second Coming
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to earth to establish His kingdom. This blessed hope motivates us to live holy lives and share the gospel with urgency and love.
"This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven." - Acts 1:11
You Belong Here
At Way Church, everyone is welcome. We strive to create a place where people feel expected, accepted, and loved. As we grow in community, we grow closer to God.
We believe in the power of Scripture, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and the strength found in walking together. With grace for the broken and hope in Jesus, there’s a place here for you.
What Guides Us
The foundation of Way Church and the heartbeat behind everything we do.
Our Mission
Jesus had a simple mission statement 2,000 years ago: “For the son of man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:10
If this was Jesus' mission, then this is our mission. We will not wait for people to come to us, we will audaciously go into more places and reach more people — Leading people to experience hope and a growing relationship with Jesus.
Our Vision
Although our approach is modern, what we believe is tried and true. Just as Jesus taught in a way that the common person could hear and understand Him gladly, and Paul became “all things to all people”, we are doing an old thing in a new way.
You won't find anything weird or unusual in our theology. We are spirit filled and led protestants in our beliefs, and modern in our practices and expressions.
Our Values
There’s no place like home. This house is built the way it is for a purpose, and it’s important for you to understand how it operates. We don’t go to church. We ARE the church. We are all part of the Way!
We value connection as part of our journey home and there are three key ways to connect at Way Church: gatherings, service, and community groups.
